From our platform desk

Rockstar confirmed PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in December 2023 and has not mentioned PC since. Two delays later, pre-orders opened on 24 June 2026 for the same two consoles.

History says PC players wait. The early GTA games reached PC seven to eight months after consoles. GTA V took nineteen. Red Dead Redemption 2 took thirteen.

A newer report says sooner. GamesBeat, citing four anonymous industry sources, says PC is planned for the first quarter of 2027. Rockstar has not commented, and this paper prints it as a report.

When the news does come, it may come fast. Red Dead Redemption 2's PC version was announced on 4 October 2019 and released on 5 November, with a pre-purchase bonus that lasted about two weeks.

      GTA 6 PC questions, answered

What PC players ask most, answered with what is known today.

Is GTA 6 coming to PC?

Rockstar hasn't announced a PC version. Every main GTA since GTA III has come to PC, each one after its console release.

When will GTA 6 come out on PC?

Not announced. GamesBeat reports Q1 2027, citing four anonymous sources. Rockstar's past pace points later: GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 would put it between December 2027 and June 2028.

Will GTA 6 be on Steam?

Not announced. Red Dead Redemption 2 launched on Rockstar's own launcher first and reached Steam about a month later. The alert will tell you which stores are listed.

What are the GTA 6 PC system requirements?

Rockstar hasn't published any, because there is no PC version yet. Until there is, the readiness check on this page compares your PC with PS5-class hardware. When the real requirements come out, they go on this page and out to everyone who asked for them.

Can my PC run GTA 6?

No one knows yet. The readiness check gives a rough comparison with PS5-class hardware, and the alert re-scores your saved PC against the real list when it appears.

      How does the alert work?

You leave your email and pick what you want to hear about. We check Rockstar's official channels and the PC store listings every day. Will my console progress carry over to PC?

Rockstar hasn't announced cross-progression between consoles and PC. If that changes, it will be in the timeline above.

What do you do with my email?

We use it to send the alerts you picked, plus anything else you opt in to. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe.

      Is this site official?

No. It is an independent fan tracker with no connection to Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive.
